Hello, I thank you for your interest in a Classic Giant Schnauzer.
There are 3 books that I feel are required reading for anyone interested in owning a Giant Schnauzer.

1. The World of Schnauzers by Johann Gallant - Alpine Publications $35.  1 800 777 7257
2. The Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson - a MUST READ- to understand how canines REALLY work.
3. Don’t Shoot the Dog – Karen Pryor, Animal Behaviorist BEST Training book.

I request all those interested in purchasing to answer some questions regarding your interest and experience prior to my agreeing to sell a puppy to you.

11. Ears are not cropped as these are European bred and are accepted with the down ear. Buyers may choose to have their veterinarian crop the ears if they wish.  Tails and dew claws are cropped at 3 days.

I maintain the first option to buy the dog back should the owner decide to ever sell or place the dog at any time in his/her life.   Health guarantee, contract agreement required at time of purchase.

I do not sell many dogs for breeding and reserve that right as a breeder.
The following are some of my requirements for buyers of a breedable prospect:

  • The dog will not be bred prior to the age of 2 years.  He/she must have the necessary correct conformation and disposition as determined by the seller at the age of 2, to be a breeding dog.
  • The dog must be titled with FCI /VPG working title or AKC Championship by the buyer prior to breeding.
  • OFA good or excellent for hips, CERF clear for eyes, thyroid normal PRIOR to breeding.
  • Seller reserves the right to 4 stud services to male dogs purchased and seller’s pick puppy from each litter of female dogs purchased.  Mary E. Falls reserves this right and this option is applied to all offspring of all dogs with Classic Giant Schnauzer bloodlines.
  • All offspring with Classic Giant Schnauzer bloodlines will carry the Classic Giant Schnauzer contract and restrictions with Mary E. Falls as recipient of the breeding rights and terms for all offspring.
  • The buyer agrees to only work through me with my guidance and pedigree approval of matings as it relates to the purchased dog.
  • Buyer agrees to limit the breeding of the dog to:
2 litters per year for males up to the age of 8 years.
1 litter per year for females and no more than 2 litters per lifetime for females.

The Giant Schnauzer Code of Ethics is strictly followed by myself and all buyers sign and agree to also follow this code of ethics for breeding which is included in the Classic Giant Schnauzer Puppy book that comes with each purchased dog.

I look forward to hearing from you.  Thank you again for your interest. Please ask any specific questions
that I may answer for you.

Sincerely,

Mary E. Falls
